FOR THE FIRST TIME EXPECTANT PARENT

This two part workshop will give first time expectant parents the tools to navigate the critical first three months of transition with their new baby. Everything from research supported practical how-to's on baby care, getting breastfeeding off to a good start and soothing a crying baby. Class includes understanding a baby's development, behavior states and how to nurture the healthy developmental and parental bond with your baby. Additionally, establishing healthy sleep habits and the normal arc of becoming a parent in the fourth trimester will be covered in this supportive and practical class.

FAQ’s

Will I learn breastfeeding information in this class?

Yes. You will learn how to establish breastfeeding and basics for a good start with feeding. You will also learn realistic timeframes for feeding, how to know breastfeeding is going well and when to get help.

When should I take this class?

Please make sure to take this class prior to your 37th week of pregnancy as you are considered “term” at 37 weeks -meaning okay to go into labor -even though your due date is 40 weeks.

Is this class also relevant for adoption/surrogacy ?

Yes. All of the baby care and development content is relevant as it supports bonding and attachment. While breastfeeding will be the primary feeding focus, the concepts taught as to “feeding on cue” are relevant when bottle feeding a baby.

Can I take this class as Private class?

Yes. It is $75 per hour for 3 hours for a total of $225. You will need to book 2, 90 minute sessions. Email to set up times.
